How do the twin tips look out of the 318is valence? The cutout is only made for a single pipe.

You have to cut the valence, I should have stated that. It looks factory if you do it right.

Medium case is six cylinder e30 and M3 as opposed to a small case for a 318i or 318is. The case is physically larger. This diff is a bolt in, I already swapped the axle flanges and the speed sensor is identical... PM me for my cell.... I work in sterling/ fairfax area so we could always meet up.

I think he was in the neighborhood of $18K the last time around... This unimog used to be used by a swedish telephone company going up and down logging trails. These are mostly known for pulling train cars around rail yards. Definently a super clean and excellent running example. Has a couple grand in IPF lights in the "play-pen" proffesionally installed.

Still have the exhaust? I need a pipe for a toy this week so I can start driving it.

Got a Magnaflow instead. Couldn't stand the noise anymore.

Can't you just spin the flange that attaches to the halfshaft? If they spin in the same direction it is lsd, if they spin opposite it is an open on right?

No he is wrong and so are you. Like I said on page one most clutch type LSD's must have both drive wheels touching the ground at the same time, and also have torque applied to those wheels. Any other scenario will cause it to behave like an open diff or at least one that is slightly limiting slip. If you are inquiring about this diff and don't know how it works then what is the point in buying it?
