    actually if you hold one side and cannot spin the other, it is an lsd. the Lock up on the e30 lsd is ~90 lbs. so you have to put 90 lbs of pressure to unlock it. atleast that is how my past 3 LSDs have worked. I dont think BMW is going to mistag anything, but anyway it could be rebuilt to an lsd.

              2 ton models do, 406 +416, 1.5 ton have regular steering
