    Fs: 4.10 Lsd

    Hey all,

I know that it's pretty shady to have my first post be in the FS section, but i'm a regular poster on bf.c and was too lazy to make a r3v account. Up for sale is a 4.10 LSD off my previously automatic 1990 325i. I'm selling it because i put the 3.73 LSD from my parts car in my '90 when i made it 5-speed. The diff turns over smoothly and made NO noises of any kind when it was in my car. I have not yet drained the fluid and it could use a new mount as the old is a little dryrotted. Also, a small plastic piece from the sensor connector broke off during removal, but this doesnt effect its operation at all. The diff is located with me in SLO, and I will not ship. However, I will be happy to drive it up to the bay or down to LA for gas money and maybe some lunch. Asking $300.

How come so many people are going to the 3.73? I though the 4.10 was the shit and all of a sudden it seems everybody is selling them. Too bad you won't ship.

149.5k. I did not service it. Again, there were no noises of any type when it was still installed in my car, no leaks, and it still locked up fine (verified on gravel).

Yeah, I really don't want to deal with shipping a 50+ lb hunk of metal. I went to the 3.73 because i will probably never autox and i do a considerable amount of highway driving. 1st gear is short enough with the 3.73 anyway.
