No way. Grow a pair and come back to me... I have the 10" now and it's perfect for my combined use of city/track driving. Anyone that just daily's it needs a 7". Any smaller is pointless :p

Anywho, I just got the 10" today. Guess what?!?! It didnt fit -.-", so for sure I'm going to take that shifter to a vise and bend the end tabs some so at least it slides in. I'd like to thank you for the awsome communication and constant updates!

As soon as I manage to fit this in, I'll be sending pictures.

I don't know what is up with your z4 shifter but I have a z4 shifter and it doesn't just fall on but certainly fits :) I even drove home from work with it that day... Crazy... something is up with your Z4 shifter...

Thanks for the compliments! Can't wait for the pictures!

              Review cliffs - good stuff!

Well, mine arrived today 9" version. I got some very strange looks from roommates, since it was shipped in a manila envelope and they could feel the shape and size of the thing and were quite perplexed as to what it was. When questioned I just smirked and carried it off to my room. This added to the hilarity ;)

Installed on my Z3M shifter, it slid down almost all the way, but not as far as a stock knob would, it is a very snug fit and did not come off/loose at all during my test drive. It pulls off just as easy and I don't see wear being a real issue, if anything it may go down more as it is taken on/off repeatedly.

It feels good when shifting, makes it a 1 finger affair and since the knob is very light the problems with weighted knobs causing excessive wear is not present. The throw is around 5" with this, compared to 3" with a normal knob, not a huge increase and scarcely noticeable because of the way this is used.

              gears 3,4

My only real complaint is that the extra leverage provided by this knob makes the shifter feel rubbery, the rubber vibration damper moves a bit and it can feel a little spongy at times. Very noticeable in 4-3 and 3-2 shifts. Easy enough to fix by ditching the rubber and using some aluminum instead. Overall a very nice product fuh razing your daily.

Oh and sorry aboutt he envelope. I ran out of the padded box things I was shipping in and FedEx prepacks mean you have to use fedex and it is MUCH more expensive!

I imagine it will be here tomorrow. I'm eagerly awaiting it, I just installed a Momo wheel with a custom spacer deal to really dial my driving position and I think the longer lever will be a nice compliment.

There were no problems with your actual product, the rubbery feel is from the shift lever it's self. The rubber vibration damper is what flexes, not the rubber handle of the knob.

OHHHHH I know how to fix that problem :) You mean the "rubber dampner" built into the lever?

Burn it out with a torch. Fill with Marine Epoxy :)

                            Done and Done :)
