I have to go to Frankfurt in a couple of weeks and am wondering if I should look for some parts while I'm there. Any suggestions, keeping in mind I can't brring back anything very big, but I should be able to ship stuff back...
OT: Going to Germany, what to bring/send back?

Dont bother as it will be expensive. Finding junkyards there are hard and your best bet would be going to one at a US Military base. But it would be pointless as most of the cool 3ur0 stuff is fairly bigErick Mahle | FullOpp Drift | YouTube

eh, he can get shit loads of euro grilles, some euro lights, maybe a cluster or two... thats just what comes to mind off the top of my head. and depending on how long he's there he can just put them up online and have them sold and shipped from there.Comment

16's ACS/Alpina/Hartge wheels. I know it sounds crazy, but I brought a set back this year. I had 2 large suit cases, 2 wheels in each. they are light enough and won't go over 50#, which is allowed. Also had 2 sets of euro grills in my carry on :)Danny

As for returning with all that stuff in your bags... you'd have to ditch anything you take to Germany (clothes whatever) to make something fit in your bag. Then you obviously gotta properly wrap it in bubble wrap or something (headlights are glass, grills are frail plastic, etc). If you can fit two wheels inside a suitcase, you're not fitting anything else besides check panels.Erick Mahle | FullOpp Drift | YouTube

Excess baggage doesn't cost all that much. It's an Alternative method, but I would ask in advance so not to be stunned by price.Comment

The question is, where to get stuff? I'm in Germany for about 10 more days (Garmish-Partenkirchen) but haven't found a decent place to buy E30 goodies.Comment
