They are made of NorthFaces "HyVent" material, very breathable, and I have never gotten wet with them on. Very comfortable to ride in all day even when it gets warm, the side vents do their job. It has lined pockets, and lined head to toe with a soft and thin coolmax kind of cloth so you can wear them with just boxers and not feel scratchy like some cheaper pairs of pants. has reinforcements on heel to prevent wear from a boards edges and such.
