Is there a difference between this spoiler and the one that goes on the e28's?

sorry, but that is incorrect. the e28 spoiler is a bit longer (about a half inch past the ends of the trunk lid on each side.) and the bolts arent the same pattern as the e30 mtech 1 spoiler. also the e28 spoiler has grooves in the rubber section which i think adds a little more flair. i bought an e28 one thinking it would bolt right in.. and guess what... i busted out the drill and went to work.

this is 100% true. i got ripped off on ebay from a seller who thought they were the same. if you have an IS with holes already, this is the one for you. made for an e30, and looks AWESOME! bumpy

E28 looks like the m-tech old skool, but this particular one You cant find here.... its ONLY for the E30 and looks sick on the car. I've only seen one other car around here with it on.... Some people like the E28 on their E30 but I see no reason why put something that doesnt belong......

That is a very nice piece and being new makes it rare, but there are a few people on here that have them. It's not THAT rare. I used to have one on my 325 when I sold it.

Bump for the only new one I've ever seen.

Wrong they are completely different !! The ones for an e28 WILL NOT WORK ON A e30. And vice versa. The rubber part on the e30 is smooth and the one on the e28 has a series of ribed areas in it. Also they are different sizes in width. So no this will not work on a e28 or will an e28 work on a e30 period.
