    FT/FS- Koni Yellows

I have a set of Koni yellows that I just bought a week ago from rcko. They are not in perfect shape, but there are no leaks and they work just fine. These are the "old" style and the rear are NOT top adjustable. The rears come with some used stock shock mounts already attatched to them and you could probably use them fine if you wanted to do that. The last seller's guess was that these were about 4 years old.

I bought these on impulse because they were a good deal even though I really wanted bilstein sports. I would rather have the bilsteins and be done with it. I would be happy to trade for bilsteins. These shocks are used but all wear is just suface stuff, NO leaks or wear on the actual shafts.

Will trade for Bilsteins, but if nobody is interested will sell for what I paid

Did you bump your head ?

Those shocks, if useable, are waaay better/desireable than Bilsteins .

They are a little ugly from road use but are actually in good working order. I like bilstein sports.

            agreed. I think Koni>Bilstein is a myth. Koni=Bilstein or Koni<Bilstein, now we're talking!

Thanks for the bumps but you guys are not helping me with the sale or a trade. Koni's are great adjustable shocks that are great shocks but I happen to like bilsteins. Most people do indeed consider Konis as better than Bilsteins. I know there is somebody who wants these.

So the fronts are top adjustable?

How do you adjust the rears?

you must compress the shock and turn the shock body. I have heard of people doing this with the shocks on the car somehow by unbolting the bottom of the shock.

Just to muck your thread a bit more, could you tell me the difference between Koni and billy sports in actual valving or ride quality?

                    Thanks,
                    Luke

I have now created a thread in the suspension and unsprung forum for everyone to talk about this. There has been more interest in the debate of koni vs bilstein than the actual sale of the shocks! I'm very interested in hearing the opinion of people who know more about this than I do. I know they are lurking around r3v somewhere.
