You could just try being realistic in your pricing next time. I can get ahold of an M52 that I'll sell for $1000 and an M30 that would go for $400.
Joel, sorry, I thought I had PMed you. Can't go that low on the prices, sorry.Leave a comment:

No hard feelings we hope. It just goes to show..its hard to recoup funds put into a built m20. And an educated consumer is a bitch of a customer.Leave a comment:

Not For Sale Anymore
Based on all the negative feedback here I have decided to keep the engine and put in something else, thanks all for all your input. cheersLeave a comment:

It's got 6 years and 5k miles on it? I think a fair price would be $1500-$2000.
You would make more selling the headers separately.Leave a comment:

yea...
I doubt it'll sell. Its a m20. 4 grand... I could put a s14 or m50 or m52 that'll output more power, more torque, more everything. It'l even comes with transmission if you get a good deal. It'll be stock and that'll pass emission and have stock reliability. Oh well good luck.Leave a comment:

U R selling car w/ engine for 5k?.....http://euromcars.com/90325is/
This is my red car that the engine was in and now I am trying to get $5000 for it, the engine is a low miles M20 w/80k on it that has been resealed and totaly gone through as far as hoses, belts and stuff and the car is very clean as you can see from the picts, Am i asking too much??
and /or engine alone for 4k?.......
Youre asking price for m20 is VERY hi..and your details and reasons for this price are very unclear/weak/and questionable....no offense intended.
How did u come up w/ 4k/>>>>? is it based on the money spent on it?.....because its not market value.Leave a comment:

Okay here is the scoop on the engine I built it for my red 1990 325is which is also for sale here anyway I wanted to go with the M20 because it was easy to build up and would fit back in with no modification unlike the S50 little did I know how expensive the end project would come to I could have put the S50 in and had money left over, so now to answer some of your questions
Here is an offer. For a "built" m20, that has been in use for "a few years" and not knowing how much it has been abused......
The engine has never been abused as the car that it was in was a weekend driver at best I have about 6-7 cars at any given time so this car was not a daily driver more of a garage queen. The engine had right around 5000 miles on it when it was removed and that was over a 6 year period I can take some more photos of the valve train and bottom end it still looks new
2k at the max. Are you trying to fund your s50, by selling an m20 at an unreasonable price/questionable history?
As for trying to fund my s50 project that’s been done, right now I am in the process of parting out a 97 e36 M3 for spare back up parts to sit on the shelf and collect dust just so I have back-up’s available if something bad should happen. The real reason is the engine is taking up space in the garage and I would like to get it out of there but to let it go for 2k I think I will just put it in my e30 touring when it gets here so no thanks.

Sorry, new here and don’t know all the rules or etiquette for the forums
Want to get rid of the SS MAF separately at all? If so, how much?
No sorry want to sell whole package complete
It has a forged 2.7 crank, but euro 2.5 pistons? What rods work with that combo? Or are you just selling a 2.7 forged crank with it?
No it has the original 2.5 crank and I rods, the 2.7 crank was not available at the time I built the engine (could not find one) so I put it together without it

Soooo, does this thing have a 150k hard miles on it, in which case since it's a built motor it's on it's last leg? A few years, is that 2 or 10?
