These are the Euro tail light backing plates that have the rear fog light, so you can be seen better in poor viability and for that little euro touch. Fits the 84-87 e30 2 or 4 door, 87-91 M3 and 87-90 convertible. These have no corrosion at all and look nearly brand new.
