Feeler: FS: rebuilt vdo odometer gear

I am looking to rebuild both vdo and motometer and selling them or rebuilding yours. Just a feeler to see who would want it. I am looking to get about $200 for one, but I will be negotiable. I currently have a vdo in need of gears that i can put together and sell. Let me know fi andbody wants one or needs theirs done. I did my car and 2 other e30's and they all work great. Thanks guys. email me at stknrvrs@msn.com to get ahold of me.

The odometer working again. The gears inside break and it doesnt count your milage anymore. I will either rebuild yours, or send you one if I have one. The gears are not cheap and the $200 covers shipping, the gears and how much I make off of it. Like I said though, this is a feeler, so I am tryin to see what people are willing to spend with me making some money for doing the service. The gears cost me about $75 to get, then I take it all apart, clean it out, and put it back together and test it. That is where the cost of all of this comes together.

soooo 200 for a rebuilt cluter and than whats the core return? do you also roll the odo forward to whatever the original cluter says? you better have new SI batteries in there for that price...

What i will be doing is taking apart the cluster and the speedometer to fix the odometer. I will not be touching the si battery board. If it makes ya;; feel better, I will drop the price down to $175 shipped. You send me your cluster, and i fix it. I currently only have one speedometer to fix and sell. I am only tryin to find about a good price for this with some profit. I know yall would be tryin to find the same. I am able to get ahold of a whole new board for $150 and will balance out the price accordingly, but i was originally intending to only do the odometer. Thanks

well considering you can buy the gears on ebay for like $35 I think I'll take that route.

so you are charging over 100 dollars for taking apart the cluster and installing the gears? Assuming you are buying the gears for 65 dollars for the set...

                  I am lost..

Warranty? What happens when it is done wrong?

                    uhhhhhhhhhh...

uber high risk... for something that most r3v diy enthusiasts can do...

175 for what? thats like offering to clean up my interior with shop vac and asking for 150 dollars for it. A little too silly.

BTW I can rebuild window switch light for 1000 dollars shipped.
