I have a set of Magnecor 7mm spark plug wires, in box, never used. Comes with boot, tips, product info and Magnecor sticker, as originally sold.

The part number is 6767, says they will fit any of these BMW 6-cyl engines:

1982-1993 - 325e, 325i, 523e, 525e, 528e

1988-1990 - 320i, 520i, 525i

They retail for $103.00

Can you explain what this means? I know these aren't the same wires, but I am wondering why Magnecors are so much cheaper.

Important Note: These wires are not supplied with inductive pickups
that are used on late model engines (particularly, engines with Motronic
1.3 system or higher) Please call or email if your engine has such an
engine. Magnecor sets can be fitted through the two part rectangular
wire retainers easiest if ordered in 7mm but Magnecor can fit wires into
the one piece cylindrical wire retainers at extra cost but they suggest
that the wires are not fitted into these as they are a major cause of wire
failure. Two part retainers to replace one piece tubes can be purchased
from your local BMW dealer.
