    FS - S50 Longblock, DME, Wiring, and Transmission from a 1995 M3 - $2,700

    PENDING SALE

In short i have too many projects and need to avoid the temptation of throwing this in my 318is. I don't want to deal with shipping, however can have it thrown on a pallet if someone else arranges the pickup.

    - $2,700 for motor, dme, wiring harness, and transmission
    - currently has a .140" headgasket to lower compression and ARP headstuds.
    - Has an e34m5 clutch from UUC and their LTW aluminum flywheel.
    - Only known issue is that the vanos needs to be re-indexed.
    - Roughly 70k miles (110k on car and have paperwork showing the longblock was replaced by bmw at 40k)
    - has been supercharged at 7psi for most of it's life, turbo'd for the past 5k miles prior to an accident.
    - perfect compression/leakdown (done prior to accident).
    - oil pump nut has been safety wired.
    - no grinds/etc in the transmission.

I haven't kept my sig too up to date here. Totaled one of the turbo cars, sold the euro swapped car, and sold the e30 only to buy another.

I don't have a lot online, but you can search my name on bimmerforums to see more or at http://www.iheartboobs.com/m3 for some old pics.

can you explain or link to vanos reindexing? I didn't know there was anything adjustable in the system

The actual VANOS 'system' is fairly basic rpm switch, however the amount of movement of the cams needs to be within a certain range. It's not a huge deal in terms of performance (as it doesn't trip a CEL), but it needs to be re-indexed at some point...especially easy with the motor out of the car:

You just need to make sure the Vanos can advance the intake cam more than 8.4mm measured at the chain.

I'll cover shipping and do it for $2500 shipped if I can get it gone by this weekend.

Not looking to part anything out at the moment.
