I wouldnt want to send you mine, they seem to be welded to the balljoints, I could not separate them for the life of me, so I was planning to get new control arms to go with the strut housings and toss the old mess out. Maybe if Joe has a set of late housings I could buy them and ship them to you and we could swap those. Then everybodys happy!

Jean, all I need are your inserts, my GF's car has blown shockolas... and being as it is her car, and a stock 318iA... you see the dilemma

Joe, so how about I give you my bilstein sport inserts (purchased new last year from BMA, have papers) for a good (rust free, not bent etc) 325i front strut tubes with good hubs/bearings. Don't need the discs or calipers/pads/lines as mine are fresh?

Defekt, you want to purchase my set of my front thin 318i tubes with good hubs/bearings ? They DO NOT have the brake dust shields on them and you'll need to re-use your calipers/rotors (I tossed the 318i rotors/calipers and swapped 325i calipers and rotors in place).

Jean, I'm down with that. All I know is I need to give someone some money. Can you just ship the strut housings to Joe with the inserts? I'm in portland so it should be easy for me to meet up with him to get them. I could paypal the money straight to you, or buy them from Joe or whatever.

Sounds like a plan. Tim, $100 sounds fair ? Joe, what's the best/cheapest way to ship these ? Let me order new inserts, so I can swap and do it all at once. That way I can remove mine, and ship to Joe and install Joe's and new inserts at once. I don't want to remove and ship mine and have my car on jack stands...

Sorry, no. I am turning my 318i into DD and my 89 has the right struts now.
