      The p/n's are not the same for the 318i and 325i but I wonder if this would bolt into a 325 iS. Does anyone know?

          it will work but being for a 4cyl, it is a weaker unit than what came stock in your 6pot car



          ps: you say chapel hill/paris... i say asheville/aix en provence :-D
