Kind of a feeler, a few years back i had a wild hair up my ass and had to build a system that pounded... This was the outcome.
It's a custom designed box, constructed out of 3/4" MDF. Port comes up through the rear deck between the two 'U' shaped supports. It's a very tight fit and you do have to trim away sheetmetal to get everything in properly. Everything was built to the JL spec sheet for a ported enclosure.
The subs were driven by a JL 500/1, so roughly 250w each which is right in thier optimal range. I never got this setup to clip but I did blow out quite a few fuses! It always wanted to go louder but I didn't have the want to.
Everything (save for the box) was purchased new from Cartoys during one of their Thanksgiving sales.
i'll post up a pic or two when I get home. If I have to post a price it'll be $1,000,000. Negotiable, of course....
