OK I'm jumping into this thread from the Bimmerforums E30 group. There this cat goes/went by a different handle, but his mom appears to have called him Chris so here that's what I'll use. For the guy here who wanted to see the product, here's what he posted over there.


Here's what I posted to him at bimmerforums:

If you're lurking with a new ID you won't see your PMs so I'm posting this here as this is where I became involved. Your scam appears to have been run on a number of the community boards, but still you might have got what a few grand tops? That's a pretty petty sum to lose your integrity to. Look, you know folks are pissed. Put the money back in the accounts you stole it from and let bygones be bygones. I have initiated mail fraud action against you through PayPal and my credit card company. Hopefully everyone else you bilked will to. While we don't have your personal contact info, they do and when they see the shear number of complaints filed against you, you will see federal proceedings started against you. Man up and do the right thing!

If others of you have been had on other boards, feel free to post any part of this or similar statements on those forums. Make sure he gets the message that we won't just whine about it and let it go. Be sure to let the mods know and by all means file complaints with PayPal and your credit card co. Our only leverage is our numbers. Don't wash your hands of the $25. It's not about the money, it's about the integrity of a community of E30 enthusiasts.

To the r3v'er who is talking to him, pass this on to him and tell him we're coming!

Damn, I hate seeing stuff like this happen. I had the same thing a long time ago on Bf.c when somebody that appeared to have a decent reputation on the forum sell me a few hundred dollars worth of parts I was collecting for my motor swap, then dissapeared. Sure enough, a "friend of his" showed up and reassured everyone who had bought parts from him that he was in some situation, and would get the parts sent out.

More than likely all this "friend" is doing is buying time.

I had the same thoughts as well but no proof nor am I involved in any transactions with this fiasco ... thank god but it does seem like perfect timing

I too have been thinking that his friend is him. Especially since I haven't seen the tracking numbers yet.

In fact I'm done, I'm complaining to Pay-Pal now. I work too hard for my freaking money to let some jerk get away with $25. And when I get my $ back I'm ordering strait from the man.

Hey guys, just an fyi, i am not Chris. My name is Keith, I live in Fort Mill, SC and go to school at USC Columbia, SC. I love the e30 crowd and wouldn't want to spoil my name with anybody.

Ive tried to call him a couple of times for the tracking number but can not get a hold of him. I understand that a lot of you are very upset and I do not blame you, I would be very upset also. Honestly, when I stepped in to help, I didn't realize this was happening on 4 or so boards at the same time. I thought it was just this one.

Ive tried to help him out, but I can only do so much. With him not providing me with the tracking numbers there is nothing else I can do.

Like I said, he told me that he shipped them out via DHL but all I have to go on is his word.

I guess the only thing to do now is for you guys to do what you have to do. Whether chalk it off, file claims via pay pal, credit card companies, or whatever.

I hate to see things go down this way, its very unfortunate.

After reading this thread I was wondering why he wouldn't give up the number. Obviously not in the thread but via PM.

Just seems kind of weird to me that you talk to him and he doesn't come over to your house to get online, since his computer "took a dump".

From the money he has taken from everyone else, he should be able to fix his computer and or replace it.
