I need a new steering rack, so I was considering grabbing something like this...

But would this be something any mechanic can install, or does it require modifications?

everything is still for sale and still obo, however I'm picking up an E30 tomorrow that I could do this conversion on if I wanted to.. So the price is pretty firm on the rack.
