You ran HDs with GCs spun almost all the way down? I'm surprised they're not blown already.

"See, we're adding a little something to this month's sales contest. As you all know, first prize is a Cadillac Eldorado. Anyone wanna see second prize? Second prize is a set of steak knives. Third prize is you're fired."

        Why's that exactly?

Please share so someone doesn't get sick with buyer's remorse.

HD's are for stock ride height cars, being dropped that low they weren't using all of their travel which puts stress on the shock which then blows the seals.

just buy it and get some sports. still 500 dollars cheaper than retail :)

how is that? The springs and perches can be had for $400. The adjustable perches and springs can be had for -$100 retail?

Don't sweat the shocks. They're perfectly OK for the street. People use Sports and HD's for everything from 250 to 700 pound springs. Bilstein's website says their shocks are guaranteed for life but they also say that fluid leaking out is "normal." Go figure.

LOL... people use stiff ass springs with stock shocks too ;) Of course if one isn't aware on how much better a car will handle with proper spring/shock combo then.. bummer.

I just double checked the part numbers, they are SPORTS, not HDs, sorry for the confusion

                      Part numbers are
                      Front- F4 P36 0335 H0
                      Rear- F4 B36 2027 H0

and no these are not leaking.

MUCH better, haha. I figured there's no way you've ridden on HDs spun all the way down on coilovers and think they ride fine. You'd practically be sitting on the internal bumpstops. Hell, my Bil Sports had VERY little travel with Stu's GC setup spun all the way down. They'd smack the bumpstomps if I hit a manhole cover or pothole.

I dont have any side views unfortunately the car was destroyed by an inconsiderate driver. The housings were cut and shortened by ground control. I do not have the housings and these do not come with housings, you will have to get yours cut and modified. And no camber plates though with camber plates you can effectively gain about another half inch or so of travel while keeping the front down.
