    Short Shifter

This is a gerneric one that i bought but is a little too agressive for my taste. I had this installed for about 8 months and worked fine. I lost one of the rubber rings on the outside. It went flying when i pulled it out if the car and i can't find it. Goes right in w/o modification since the pivot point is higher than factory (does not hit the driveshaft). Sold to streetbeat911

    next to z3 shifter

    See how it sits higher

there is supposed to be an external snap ring that fits in the lowest groove on the blue riser cup (attaches underneath the carrier keep it in place)

I have this short shifter and I believe it is a B&M. I also happen to love it.

The throws are extremely short, it is a little bit notchy but I like that. And because of that little cup not only does it require no modification to install but the raised pivot point reduces the effort nessesary to shift.

My only complaint about the shifter is that when it is in neutral it sits further forward than stock, probably because of the cup. Not a big deal once you get used to it.

        Good luck with the sale.

pending sale (located near best but in Redondo Beach)

The rubber piece to the left is what went flying. Should not be too much trouble to replace with a generic o ring at harbor freight. And it does give you a very gratifying rachet type feel when you go from gear to gear. Takkes a couple weeks to get used to because it is an aggressive reduction. Also in order to fit the e36 m3 shift knob i had to remove the plastic ring on my shift boot.
