I think the problem you will have selling this kit in the forum is that most people are able to do the swap for 1/3 that price these days. Not to mention that it is easier and cheaper for most people to just modify their existing stock E30 HP hose rather than purchase the modified E36 HP hose.

I'm not sure 1/3 the price is entirely accurate.. a decent E36 M3 steering rack is going to cost 160-200, and the cost in time to modify the hoses and the coupler is maybe 2-3 hours...certainly 4 is asking a bit much, but not three times as much IMO.

Keep in mind that in addition to the rack, there are a number of parts required to rebuild the knuckle including a new guibo, the bushings, etc. and those parts are at least another $50 on top of the $150 new PS high pressure hose. I don't intend this to be affordable for everyone on this board as the income from a paper route won't cover the cost. It's a good value for a complete kit with all the work done. If you have the time, tools, and expertise that's great, but if not it's an alternative.

The only M3 rack worth paying more than $100 for is the 95 M3 rack that is 3.0 ratio rack. This is a common 3.2 ratio rack you can pickup for $75-$100.

Also, I modify steering knuckles for $50 here on the forums as a service to forum members. It takes me 1 hour at most to complete the rebuild. You can bend the stock E30 HP hose with your bare hands in about 5 mins.

If you paid $150 for a E36 HP hose.. I'm truely sorry but you were ripped off.

Sorry, I'm really not trying to thread shit at all just trying to point out why this might be a hard sell unless the rack is a brand new rebuild, not used, then $350 shipped is reasonable.

Well you're doing a good job on the first point, and is that an offer?

If you are going to quote me atlease quote the entire comment.

I was just basically saying the $350 shipped was a reasonable price if the rack is new (not used) because I thought someone had posted that price as an offer in this thread.

Well, I have a steering rack from an M3 (3.2 lock to lock) with less than 90k miles for 150 + shipping if anyone is interested.
