Well I've decided to go with fixed back bucket seats in my e30 as it's basically being driven on the track only now. I had this seat completely custom made by Kevin Chinn at Creative Options. The frame is a Recaro SRD copy, but Kevin completely stripped the seat to the frame, added custom padding, fitted it for the sub-belt hole, and recovered the seat with all new fabric. As every one knows Kevin is probably one of the best out there for doing BMW seats. I had this seat down with black cloth centers and vinyl along the edges of the bolsters so that the harnesses wouldn't wear the fabric. The sub-belt hole also has a vinyl sleeve that the belts slide threw. And all seat also features horizontal m3 style stitching down the centers to match the stock m3 seats. This seat is 2 years old, and I've done 4 DE's with it and numerous mountain drives. I absolutely love it as it holds you nice and firm but is still comfortable for long trips. Everything on the seat is still like new except for the left lower bolster is starting to sag a little from getting in and out of the car. Mounting brackets and sliders are included to bolt the seat directly into a e30 body. I'm asking $450 shipped. This is just one seat, but Kevin can probably make a matching seat if you wanted. If you have any questions feel free to ask.
