Almost the same bar, I work with John Mason on these and other projects. John hasn't changed his site yet to reflect the new prices...I don't know how he deals with that... posted price disclaimer???

These are of a different configuration, material and finish from Mason's original bars (solved some issues).

still all things considered ie shipping etc, it still comes out the same though.

Checked John's site and don't see a price disclaimer. At any rate...

You mentioned that the bars are of a different configuration, material and finish. Please explain the solved issues that were identified and the differences. Again, just trying to understand what is different about the bar, as I'm sure other people are wondering as well.

      Thanks :)

About 2 weeks, we put the finish on them as ordered and they need to cure before shipping.

Not to say anything is wrong with Masons bars, there are some things we just see differently.

Powder coating while very nice has some major drawbacks, nicks or chips can allow corrosion under the finish and refinishing is next to impossible. We do more de-stressing of the welds, burr and edge smoothing and bare metal surface prep they are shot with Zinc Chromate self etching primer and the final finish is an epoxy based paint.

The geometry is very slightly different, and there is different spec on the material. The reasons are proprietary.
