    Understeer Short Shifter

Brand new understeer E36 328/M3 Short Shifter $70 shipped

This shifter was put in the car then taken back out. I thought it was going to work with my S50 swap but it won't work.

just curious, what part of it didn't work with your s50 swap? This is the stock lever from a ZF trans, and if you used a getrag what exactly was the problem? Just curious cuz I am about to do a s52/g260 swap and wanted to use this lever.

    Thanks

That actually looks like the lever out of the Z3 2.5 or M or something like that, I'm pretty sure the M3 is shorter. It looks the same as the lever I'm using on my S50 swap which is longer (length, not throw) than the stock M3 lever. So to answer Sam's question and plug this lever at the same time: If you're not careful it will hit the larger 328 driveshaft if you slam it from 3rd to 4th too hard but it feels awesome with the 260 tranny! I love it on my zf but I have lower standards than most when it comes to strange noises emitting from my car...

The problem is it would hit the 328 driveshaft as Fidhle007 stated. I'm sure you can use it but make some trans height adjustments but it's not worth my time, I rather get something that works the right way.
