Ok, so here goes. I have an 86' 325E that I was tearing down for a complete rebuild as my daily driver. Well I ended up purchasing a vehicle for my business and to tow my e36 (3/4 ton diesel dodge) and I also just got tired of having to build something in order to have a decent driver. So currently I have a rolling chassis that has a motor and tranny in it. I have a huge amount of parts stocked up to put this car back togethor to be a really great car. This could either be a perfect car for a pro3/spec e30 build or a cheap way to build a great toy car as its already most of the way torn down.
Here is a list of the aftermarket parts that I have or are currently installed on it. A majority of the new parts are directly from the dealer (all the new seals and gasket and such)
Not installed
Bilstein front sport shocks
DIY smoked early car tail lights
316I HVAC that needs the fan level control knob
crack free dash
New tranny seals
new oil pan gasket
new valve cover gasket
New rear windshield seal
New rear windshield seal trim
solid qtr windows with very dark tint (%10?)
OBC conversion
MINT black leather sport seats front and rear
Anthracite carpet (1 installed 1 not)
Hella smilies with replacement depo lenses and stonguard (if someone wants these I can put an H1 35w 6k HID kit with them for an extra cost)
H4 low beams
Replacement motor that ran PERFECT when in the car (I have never seen an e30 that ran as well as the car this motor came out of)
replacement seals for the transmission (it needs them)
SS brake lines
SS clutch line
new clutch slave
euro grilles
Black Alcantara updated rear deck
Black Alcantara sunroof cover panel (installed on sunroof cover skeleton)
Black Alcantara ceiling (installed but easy removal)
Replacement coolant hoses for the ENITRE cooling system directly from the dealer
M20B25 885 casting head with one broken rocker arm
INSTALLED
BB SS longtube headers
2.5" exhaust using a glasspack and a ebay muffler (its very loud and if I were to keep the car I would redo it)
IE motor and tranny mounts
Intrax springs
MarkD chip
New water pump (roughly 1k miles old)
approx. 1 gal of Elemental designs Edead v.3 liquid sound deadening to replace the factory sound deadening. (this cant be removed and reinstalled)
powerflex M3 offset front control arm bushings
3.0 z4 shift lever with AKG delrin shifter bushings and updated carrier
I have all this stuff plus MANY factory parts that would go with the car to put it back togethor. basically it would need a windshield, paint (the body is multiple colors) and some odds and ends to make this a complete car. (my cost would have been about $500 from the dealer minus a front windshield to have the car DONE and not need a thing. Currently i'm listing the car up as a whole package deal so if someone were to offer me $1500 for the rolling chassis and every E30 part that I have I would take it and honestly if you lived within a reasonable distance I would load up my dodge and help you take it all home. Trust me it would take that much to get it all home, this car and all the parts for it take up half of my 24x40 shop.
If at a later time I have allot of people interested in parts I may part it out, I would really prefer not too as its a big hassle and I really would like the rolling chassis gone as that will be the hardest part to sell.
Thanks,
Tom
PS: If you have any questions about the parts or are interested in this I will be at the e30picnic, you can catch me either by the E30 drift car or wandering around looking at cars (its covered in decals and has lime green wheels you cant miss it) and I will be wearing a green guiness 1759 shirt. Feel free to just come up and ask about them.
