Who should I use to ship a head?

Thought somebody might have an idea of which carrier would be best to ship a head/intake manifold from 47804 to 68108.

    Thanks

write down your dimensions and weight and call USPS, UPS, FEDEX, and DHL for estimates.

      DHL has low rates.
Often fed ex is a few bucks cheaper on things.
      UPS is usually the highest.

Fedex... I use them for everything. DHL isnt reliable enough for me yet. DHL seems to be the cheapest, but driving to a location blows as there isnt any close.

I had a head shipped DHL, they kicked the shit out of it. Do UPS (since I work for them) or fedex if youre on a budget. Either way use one of these http://www.plastic-shipping-containe...ing-Containers most heavy parts that are inter business use these.

Fedex ground is the cheapest for heavy stuff. Never had a problem with them and Ive shipped at least a dozen 70+ lb diffs. Set up an account online and you can just print out the shipping label and drop it off at any fedex location. Its all in the packaging though. My recommendation: Use rubbermade tubs. Drill holes where the lid meets the tub around the edge and hold together with zip ties. Thats how I ship diffs and its pretty much bombproof.

              fedex

wrap head in garbage bag, put inside cheap foam cooler, layer in 'great stuff' foam and packing peanuts like a casserole. stick inside a sturdy box and ship. :)

I will even send back any container you use if you want it back.

i hate fed ex ground but evry company has there horror stories. i was shipped a tranny for my e28 and they dropped it! the bellhousing smashed.. but i got my money back from them threw a claim...... then again i purchased another one and used fed ex ground again and it got here safe and sound... the journey started from pheonix to edmonton canada so it was quite the treck.

Why has this been posted in the "Parts For Sale" section?

(note: I have also found Fedex to be the best "all rounder" for shipments)
