True I am sure you could weld one up, enjoy the project...

I have seen IE and Sparco rear bars in person, these are easy to make up in any shop for less than $30 and maybe 45minutes

The Mason bar in person you can see the effort into the engineering behind the design. You would need some nice equipment to make a bar like this in a shop... their ends have the metal shaped to match the towers and the outer part of the body plus a jig to cut the end of the tubes to match into the rest of the bar... and welded nicely...

This bar has both function and form in mind...

And I would appreciatte not to tread unless you have the intention to add value or interest in purchasing.
