i just got an email saying that i'm at risk of a lawsuit because my heat shield ressemble lukusbmw heatshield. what should i do, my heat shields look completely different. is it the fact that its black and plastic? what should i do?

what you should do? 1.) calm down.
Even if they try to sue you

1. they have a 50/50 chance of winning.
2. they would be considering compensatory damage... how many do you think lukusbmw sell? 2 million? no way... maybe like in the hundreds. There is no way the court fees without guarantee victory will even close to cover the profit they loss... so what can they sue you for?
3. its just a heatshield, you cant patent color or material used. You copyright hte logo at best.
