FS: NY Region m42 and 5 speed transmission from a 1991 318iS

Is there anyone out there that needs this motor and transmission? It had about 188k miles to it but ran perfectly fine. Taken out of the car I bought in March found here but the seller removed the post. The motor was replaced with a s50 along with the transmission. It was not pulled for it being faulty.

As for price I am not sure where to begin. Ive been looking around and there isnt much theads that sells this engine. I did see heads going for 350 so how about a 400 picked up price? Please let me know if thats too much to be asking. Engine and its counterparts are at the shop.

I believe the shop thats currently holding the engine has done it before. Im not sure how much it would be to crate it etc.

I just called the shop. He said that he can ship it but its a matter of finding the crate etc for it. But the shopping costs might just kill the deal if you can een consider 400 for m42 a deal. He estimated 250ish for shipping alone but the fees often vary. He said he would prefer not to ship it.

BTW is 400 for this engine a good price to be selling at?
