Hi,
for sale here is a possible project s50 motor which came off a 95 auto m3(no moneyshifting here).
it comes w/ the intake/exhaust manifold ,fuel rail w/ injectors, sensors, maf and the unattached wiring harness(no throttle body)
compression when checked was perferct across the board(all b/n 190-195 cold) and still has the auto tranny still attached.
i bought this to swap in my brother's e30m3 but,a mishap happenned when storing the motor.
i decided to powerwash and clean the motor- i thought that there where still spark plugs in there as the all the coils where still attached and you guessed it-water in the cylinders for the next 2 weeks(yes, dumb me)
anyway,i pulled about 10-20 cc's of water in each cylinder w/ the 3 rd cyl having the most and dumped in some motor oil and left it at that.
openned the oil drain plug and no water came out so,i assume it didn't get past the pistons and prob rusted the cylinder walls.
this s50 would definitely need a rebuild due to possible rust or pitting of the cylinder walls on the block was going to do it myself but,too many projects at this time.
the head looks good and the valves where not compromised as i took the intake manifold off for a visual(valves looked good).
i was able to find another s50 bare block w/ the same mileage(97k) and will throw it in the sale that's in very good condition.
engine still spun freely by hand.
no ecu,will not part out.
local pick up only but, delivery is possible w/ in 50 miles of 21122 for a small fuel fee....
selling for $1600 for it all.....
will post pics.
