E34 calipers are bolt on for E28's but you do have to have the carriers,
these are just the calipers
but if you check realoem,
there are no carriers for the E28 M5 calipers
Maybe it's just me, but I couldn't bring myself to do it. No matter how expensive the pads and rotors are, I'd spring for new crap. If you're replacing calipers, you're bleeding the system, you might as well start out fresh. Just my $.02
thanks. If the rotors/pads are well used then you're totally right, but I have no religious problem with using rotors without a lip and pads with plenty of meat. Especially since cheapest rotors my wholesale connection has available are $110 zimmermans, or I wouldn't have asked.
I really don't think I kept the rotors,
I changed brakes right before I moved and if I kept them they are in my storage unit up north, too far to drive for rotors.
Sorry....
These along with some E32/34 (540) vented rears and you have a pretty decent brake upgrade without having to upgrade the Master Cylinder.
The four piston will give you a very firm pedal without the hassle of changing the MC....
Going to E34 M5 front calipers really require upgrading the MC to get good pedal feel....
You can run 15" BMW OE wheels or larger unlike the E34 M5 4 piston which require 17" in Most applications with "some" 16 wheels working....
I may be interested in your bumper parts if you want to send pics...
