It is a red touring, an e34 red touring unfortunately.

I think it may not be an e34...

It appears that the bottom edge of the hatch is flat, not contoured.
And it looks like the rear window has a different profile
.. and the tail lights on the red car have white in them.

I say it could be an e30 and that's believable, considering Canada is allowed to have them and that car is in a Portland junkyard.
