I've got some tickets to pay for and I have to sell some of my toys! I've got 4 more dell d800's they're all imaged with Windows XP fully updated to XP service pack 3, office '08, the Free version of AVG 8 (Good Antivirus), and if u guys want CS3 or other apps on there and ill throw that on to if u want it.

The specs for the d800s are:

1.7ghz pentium M or 4
1GB Ram ddr sdram
60 - 80 GB Hard Drive
cd/cdrw
brand new ac/adapter
its also has s-video for external video
15.4-inch display
802.11b/g wireless intergrated
Weight: 7.1 lbs

Also I will have a Macbook for sale soon it's just a matter of getting off my ass and fixing it if someone wants it. I'm asking $600, pm for details.

soo, are the batteries any good on the dells? i know those dell comp have crappy battery, 2 of mine are dead. looking to get a school computer for my kid sister.

Well, I have a Dell notebook and HP notebook of similar age. I have used the Dell much, much more though, and their acclaimed 6 hour battery never once lasted 6 hours in it's life. Now, the battery is shot, so I use the AC adapter whenever I use it. On the other hand, my HP's battery lasts well over 2 hours.

They now offer 9 hour batteries and probably 10 or 12 hour batteries for well into the triple digits. If it were me, I'd just use the AC adapter.

ya the dells batterys should be fine but it you want you can go get them rebuilt or get a higher mAh capacity batterys.

as for the macbook i have to install an os and replace the topcase on the mac.

My 3 year old base model DELL B120 still holds a 2 hour charge. I do recall them having a battery recall on several models a couple years ago.

thats cool that they have battery upgrades, however they are about $150shipped, which isnt as cool...
