Blower Question

This is for you euro guys...
I just replaced my blower motor and resitor pack...
The blower works fine however, it only works on 4
The resistor pack in brand new from the stealership, so I am absolutely lost as to why it works only on 4

This just happened to me too. I have a 90 E30M3. Lost 1, 2 and 3 slowly, then fan went out. After I purchased new one and installed. Only works on number 4. Is this same issue? Do I have a broke switch too?

Well, 3(3spd) or 4(4th spd control) is the last to go as it's a "direct connection", it bypasses the resistor completely...sooo, if the resistor is good. That would be my next item to check...

sorry everyone for posting in the for sale section, it was a mistake...if the mods could please move to the appropiate section that would be great

BTW....The fan switch/dial i use is not the little one with the metal prongs sticking out, it's like the US spec dials

my dial is just a plastic turn dial, I tried one off of a friends and it still only works on 4
