I am putting my complete nonvanos m50 into a e30 swap + complete 5 speed swap up for sale, Im working on starting a business and im trying to liquidate everything I dont need..
motor runs pefectly, you can even come by and hear it run. everything functions as it should. Im guna miss it. Great motor, around 110k when reomoved from car. I loved it super smooth power band, and i was still able to get around 260-300 miles on a tank of gas BEATING on it.
I put about 1000 miles on the whole setup... its not even broken in yet
only cons of this would be the oil pan gasket seeps a bit of oil, but it is very easy to change once motor is out of the car.
-For starters, the motor is a 1992 nonvanos m50, removed from a e34 525 automatic. the motor was wire wheeled down to metal, high temp primer, then high temp gloss black, then clearcoated.
The motor has $600+ in replacment parts from pelican parts and fap99, i have all reciepts. From what i can remember, Water pump, thermostat, belts, OE acc pullys, valve cover gaskets, spark plug gaskets, valve cover bolt gaskets, oil pan dipstick gasket, intake and exhaust manifold gaskets, throtle body gasket, brand new intake boot, all vaccum hoses, and rubber feul lines were replaced oil filter housing gaskets, e28 535i hex motor mounts, spark plugs, new K&N airfilter, and so on. I Have more parts that i bough that are sitting in boxes waiting to be installed as well, rear main seal, transmission input shaft seal, spare centerbearing, and more
-I spend over $180+ on new bolts from the dealer, motor arm bolts, alternator bolts, intake bolts and studs, exhaust manifold bolts and studs. oil filter housing bolts, and a ton more that im forgeting. 2nd trip to the dealer, for clips, ccv parts, random plastic parts and more bolts, i think i spend another $100 that time..
Includes, complete nonvanos wiring harness, and ECU. as well as the AGK wiring adapter. Motor also includes 6 bosch yellow top 19lbs/hr injectors all were flowtested and all function properly. The correct Coolant temp sensor was also installed, the temp gauge on the cluster will read correctly.
I do not have the power steering or AC setup in the motor, im not really a fan of parasitic drag.... but i do have all the parts to install the AC compressor, bracket, bolts, pully etc. if your into that kinda thing
Getrag 260 manual transmission, shift linkage allready modified to fit centered in the tunnel. All new bushings from pelican parts.
Singlemass m20 flywheel resurfaced 2000 miles ago 1/8 shaved off the back, includes m20 singlemass starter. Clutch is a sachs stage 2, and the pressure plate is a sachs 228 hd. The slave cylinder is new as well. New guibo and centerbearing. included. Includes OE transmission mount with urethane bushings. Includes proper driveshaft, with balancing mark still on it. 5 speed pedals included as well. if you plan in putting this into an automatic car. All new BMW pressure plate and flywheel bolts.
The brake booster is a e21 320i booster with the shaft shortened. and a e30 master cylinder. It makes a small hissing noise at idle, i think there may bee a small leak somwhere, but it does not affect braking.
The exhaust is a little loud with very little "rasp" usually only around 5k rpms, it is completly emissions legal.
The exhaust consists of black ceramic coated ebay headers, dual 2" outlet, with walker hd clams to a dual 2" in single 2.5" out magnaflow Y pipe. From the Y pipe there is a 2.5" flex pipe, followed by a Magnaflow 2.5" high flow cat. 2.5 custom piping back to a hushpower 2 resonator and more bent 2.5 tubing to a borla XR1 single inlet single outlet. muffler. I was going to put a Y at the end to give it the OEM look but never got to it. There is enough space to add one if you would like. I spend over $700 on just the materials for the exhaust. The bending and welding was done by illuminandi customs in allentown.
There are tons more things that are forgeting, not counting the countless hours spent on it, the ammount of blood sweat and knuckles lost, I have essentialy poured the last 5 months of my time and income into this. Again it sucks but i have to move on
That is the only pic i have, im sure bumblebeamer and e30turboboy will chime in with more. Feel free to PM jogjogfrog, bumblebeamer, e30this, e30turboboy, bakese30 and more for their input. they have all seen and or driven the car. They were all there every step of the buildup.

$2000 picked up...... Price may seem high, after all you could buy a s50 for that price........ a s50 that still needs all the above parts i just mentioned... This is a COMPLETE ready to go swap. You can have it in your car in a weekend!
Cash only, no i will not trade + cash for your ETA, nor do i want any wheels, ex girlfriends, puppies, or sexual favors....well maby but PM me about that one
Feel free to come by and check out the swap, or hear it run. PM's are best, or email me at brandon.carrigan@gmail.com I will do the best I can to help you out and describe whatever you want to know.
