I'm going to look at this car tomorrow. It is an 1987 325e/5spd. white on black vinyl. Car has some 15" American Racing weave looking wheels with nearly new rubber.Though the car is a bit dirty exterior/interior are in very very good condition. No body damage, straight as an arrow, crackfree dash and interior pieces. Interior was redone less than two years ago.
The seller says he has reciepts for much work that has been done on the car within the last two years. All the typical E30 areas have been addressed according to him. The car cranks but does not start. The seller just paid $180.00 for diagnosis. The BMW mechanic who works on it said that the magnetic flywheel sensor is bad. Thus the vehicle does not run right now. Tranny would need to be removed to replace this part and you could have yourself a good clean runner to start a nice looking early model euro bumpered Bimmer. Or just slap an M20B25 "I" engine in there, change the cluster and other minor bits, get you an LSD and you are set.
There are many good parts on this car. I'm just deciding whether or not I want to pick it up. That will depend on the reception I get from you guys as far as what you all think you may need of off this car. It could be a VERY good parts car or a good (and good lookin) reliable runner. If someone wanted to pick it up an replace the broken sensor. Let me know whats up. I will have pics up tomorrow after I go see the car and snap a few. So her lies the question. Do I pick it up and rape for the parts that myself and other may need all the while making some money? Or do keep her whole and sell her as is because though its only a lowly 325e. I'm told its very clean. If I had enough dough right now I would do what I had mentioned previously. Just make her my own once she is ruunning and then start modding that bitch. I will let the repones in this thread make that choice for me.Here are the pics.
