DME 413 "red label" by ProgRama

This 413 red label DME was remanufactured by ProgRama, Inc less than a year ago. The date sticker is on the case. They charge $900+ for this DME after they go through them.

How about $300 OBO shipped via USPS Priority Mail? If that's too much, I have a used factory 413 red label on that I will be selling for less $ very soon also.

It goes on eBay in a few days. Don't contact me 3 months from now and ask if I still want to sell it...

I have sold many of the used ones and they go for around $250. I thought I should ask more for one that has been recently redone by ProgRama. Make me an offer.

I have one of these units too, i just wanted to know why a programa would sell for so much more than a OEM one. Is it better somehow?

                  I'll buy all the "413" DME's I can find for $60. You're dreaming.

413 especially w/o EWS are more expensive and in higher demand than a typical older e28/e30 (153, 173 etc) ecu....

The typical price for a used "413" is $250.

This one is going to be better than a used one and maybe even better then a brand new one from BMW. I'd much rather have one that has gone through a refurbishing facility like the one at ProgRama. After they are made by Bosch they are tested then packaged and shipped to BMW. Bosch makes very great parts and I don't want to take anything away from them, but those new parts are yet to be used. After 10 or 12 years of being used issues can come up and some times they do in the first year. Cars shake and vibrate when being driven and the temperature range here where I live is from 110 during the Summer to 20 or below during the Winter. Computers don't like vibration and big temperature changes, parts fail or just get tired. When someone like ProgRama goes through them they completely check it out and replace anything weak or broken. Then they thoroughly test it. Where Bosch probably powers up each unit quickly after being made I bet they only really thoroughly test and inspect 1 out of 500 or maybe 1 out of 1,000. ProgRama did that thorough test on this DME and it passed. At least this is my opinion on "refurbished" parts when done by a quality rebuilder.

It's probably a pretty good deal at $300 compared to over $900 that you will pay a ProgRama dealer for one.
