I have an engine pulled from an 86 535i with 200k or so on it and in perfect working condition. I also have an automatic transmission plus lots of other stuff from the car for sale. I am in Orange, CA. Asking $375 for the engine, let me know if you have any questions.
m30 3.5 86, plus automatic transmission and other e28 parts

If you are worried about the cost of "other" things..just wait on it. Sorry to the OP (I know you want to sell it) but nothing goes to plan but it is fun when its done. Mine has taken about 2 years, because of budget reasons, to complete and I'm just getting everything tied upComment

Well, you'll need mounts, which are >$200 from Funk. (or weld up your own)
A 5-speed that fits the M30 (G265, hard to find and pretty expensive)
E32/E34 oil pan
bunch of modification for the shifter linkage, IIRC.
so look at about $1000 over the cost of the motorComment

Yeah, it is a 3.4, my mind just goes to 3.5 because of the naming. I do have the ecu for the car, and the engine is complete. I do also have an early e28 manual transmission without the detachable bellhousing that would hook up to the engine and is actually smaller if you wanted to fit it into an e30.Comment
