Maybe someone can find it; it was a father who got an iX for his son, and put that armrest in..
I think you're referring to "Boomer"

Not to me. I love mine. Keeps my separated shoulder from getting sore while driving.

How about the E36 arm rest & rear console? The E36 unit is modular and you can switch the inserts to have what you want. You can have one or two cup holders, a junk bin, and a coin holder. Of course the coin holder is just asking some crack whore to break the window and steal the $.85 in it.

How do you fit that to an E30?

I am attempting the JCW alternative. For 5 spd it is way too tall and is in the way of shifting. I am modding it now to where it will be an armrest, but not a storage box, but should be at a much better height (pretty much the same as the husco).

                Boomer,

How did you attach the copholder?

                Drilled a hole, glued?

Also, how is the height of the unit, in your opinion..?

I drilled 2 holes through the storage compartment of the armrest.
You can make the a/r a little higher or a little lower, because the a/r can be attached to the tranny tunnel at different points.
