Quick question, e36's use serpentine belts that loop around the alternator and the power steering pump right?(correct me if I'm wrong). To truly "delete" the power steering I would have to get this belt off of the power steering pump pulley, but this would add slack into the system, how would I avoid this?

Deleted my power steering today. Easy work. Nice part, I look forward to installing the rest of my suspension bushings.
Only question I came away with is, will you see some compression/deflection of the UHMW after you torque down the bolts? Or is it an optical illusion? It didn't feel like I got anywhere close to over-torquing it.

It's a reman one waiting to be installed in my Mini as the one on the car is leaking. I've been contemplating the idea of deleting it, but the gearing is not optimal for this. When my pump died two years ago, it was a pain to steer in parkings.Comment
