I might be grabbing a 3.46 lsd this weekend, so I wanted to see if there is any interest in my 3.25.

My asking price would be $200 firm+shipping, but pick up would be preferred.

In great shape with new fluid. I will provide the e28 diff cover and output flanges, so you would need to swap the one from your e30 one on.

Why do you want to go 3.46? I thought S52 guys generally like lower ratios.

Even though it will be a little worse on mpg on the freeway, the shorter gears will be more fun! I want to get to peak power in vanos a little quicker.

As far as tall gearing, 3.25 is basically stock. There are guys on bfc that run anything from a 3.38-3.91. I don't mind having to shift a little more often, I know it'll be worth it!

As far as your 2.93, wont you need longer legs with the torque monster your putting in your car? What are ideal gears with the m30?

3.46 will still give you pretty good highway mpg. I daily drove my car with it for about 1.5 years and averaged 21.5 around town and about 25 on the highway -- really taking it easy though. Once the initial fun of the quicker gears is gone you can do it too.

Back on topic though -- good price for the 3.25LSD, they are getting harder to find.

Haha, I'm in the same boat as you. But you've got to admit, going 60 mph..we're only at 2k rpm :) And what..70 is like 2200 rpms? Lol :D

e30polak - whats your set up? (engine/trans wise). Also, what RPMs are you at, at 60mph in 5th gear?
