This is a Mark D chip that was in my 89 325is. The chip is for 19# injectors and 91 octane gas (173 ECU). SOLD



This is a Turner motorsports chip that was in my 91 318is. Iv been running the car on 91 octane. same 150$ shipped.

I understand that, I'm just curious about the difference between the chips made by Turner and MarkD for the 318iS. Is there a difference in power, economy, idle, ect; or are they pretty much the same?

To me they are both pretty much the same. When the chip was in my car it ran really smooth, reved nice, both chips say you gain HP and Torq and when you put it in and drive it, it feels like the engine comes more alive. the economy i didnt really notice all that much, mainly because it didnt really change.

I while back i talked to the guys at Metric Mechanic and they said Mark D spent an entire day burning chips til one was perfect for the application, i do not think Turner/Confortis have the do it til its right program, thats why i'm gettin this one. Tim

Sorry to threadjack, but this is really a little too much: I am sure Mark D does excellent work and is very committed. Word is that his chips, today, are better than Jim Conforti's. I do not know, I haven't installed a Mark D chip yet. But before stating ' i do not think Turner/Confortis have the do it til its right program, thats why i'm gettin this one' I would STRONGLY encourage you to read a bit about the JC chips. Of such posts is forum ''''knowledge'''' made.

nmlss2006, just went to TMS and printed off the Conforti 2008 catalog, lots of good chips for mods on E36, not much to say about 325 i's in fact the chart is listing 87 325 i?? send it on i'll read anything you got on Conforti Mark D chips offer 91&93 octane chip ??? 14.5 17.5 & 19 lb injectors 2 different rev limits maybe you should go to Mark D site
