    1992 325i Convertible Part-out (80k miles)

My car was totaled last Thursday morning (2/12) by a drunk driver. Check out this thread for some older, but representative pics of the condition of the car. It has just over 80,000 miles and was in great shape before the accident. All body panels have original paint (alpine white). The power top mechanism works perfectly. The top itself is original so the straps are pretty much gone but the window is clear. The interior (grey) is really nice except for normal wear on the drivers seat. The seats are heated. The rear seat is NOT split at the seams on top. The car is located on the NW side of Chicago so anybody local is more than welcome to look at stuff in person.

Pics of parts w/ prices ----> http://picasaweb.google.com/brettpolson/BMWPartOut#. All prices are obo + shipping. New parts are being added as they are pulled so check back often. Thanks. Fortunately I wasn't in the car. It was parked along the curb and somehow she managed to hit it almost head on.

Oh man that sucks :( I just checked your other thread and it looked like a very clean low mileage vert to boot !

I was going to say get new hood/fenders/valance/bumper and possible radiator support but the driver side looks like most likely has more damage under the fender....

Yeah I think it is worse than it looks. Both frame rails are bent and the engine is pushed back into the firewall. But there are a ton of good parts on the car and I would rather they go to good homes than the junkyard.

              sorry for your loss...

My car was broken into, I need a glove compartment and soft top the most. seats too, but that's my doing, as well as center wheel covers. is your soft-top motorized? i havent been able to find a good one yet, and i'd have to sell my hardtop to get an oem one.
              Thanks for any info,
              Susie.

Not sure I need to cut some stuff to get them out. Just by looking at them I'm going to say no. I think I might keep them if they do end up being ok.

Sorry everyone for the slow replies. I have gotten a ton of requests for parts and have gotten behind bc I am searching for a new car. I'll do my best to get back to people asap but be aware it may take a little longer at times. Thanks!
