it's in northern california. it's an early M88 motor out of a euro m6. has the desireable header. apparently mileage is unknown and has some piston slap when it's cold but it runs well. i spoke with the guy about it and he's very nice. its a complete motor with ecu and everthing.

Vlad has a complete, trans, cluster, wiring, etc, etc, etc. He was thinking about selling, then putting in the bavaria, then selling, etc. Might be worth a pm to find out.

Still on the fence about what to do with my E28 M5 project. Just wondering how much the drivetrain would go for. Wifey wants me to keep it, but keeping it would mean spending more money on it. I did see an S38B35 on ebay for $3500. I would run a 265 behind it if I were you. Cheap and much stronger than the box that came with it. Plus you wouldn't have to wait for me to make up my mind. Also, I would not bother with the stock injection if you can Megasquirt it. It is the old Motronic. I do have a spare chip if get one, though.

I have 2 S38 B35 190k and 112k both good runners and complete. 2500 for the high mileage and 3500 for the 112k one. I also have a complete 91 S38 B36 with trans for 5000.00
