I'm looking for $600 out of it, not looking to split it up.
I'd consider a lower price if you just wanted the engine itself. I'll keep the intake, TB, wiring harness, DME, injectors & MAF, along with a few senders, CAS & CAM sensors. I know I'm being picky here, but it's hard to let this go cheap when I keep hearing so much good stuff about M50B30 hybrids. My money pit E24 deserves something better than an M30B34...
More details:
Mostly complete M50B25 (non-vanos) from a '92 E34 525i. A few parts are missing: intake fasteners, coil packs, flywheel & clutch. Otherwise it's complete, still includes serpentine belt and all accessories. OBD1 2.5 with front oil sump & refurb starter.
Early head casting. I'm told it'll have the thicker valves and doubled springs.
Also includes:
M50 intake manifold, fuel rail, injectors.
Complete intake & air filter box, hot wire MAF (minor damage to intake filter screen)
Uncut M50 wiring harness, main & fuel pump relays, chassis wiring pigtail (C101 or whatever it's called on an E34).
This setup comes with a green label 405 DME, these early motors didn't have EWS AFAIK.
E34 exhaust manifolds, engine mounts & arms.
I honestly don't know if it's good or not, never heard it run. I'll toss a leakdown tester on it if you're seriously interested. I don't know the mileage. I'm told the motor was still running from the guy that sold the car to me. He bought the car to do a transmission swap on his Olympic Edition E34. I also have a Getrag S5G 250 along with an M20 single-mass flywheel if you're interested, I'll make you a great package deal.
I'll also sell the transmission parts separately:
Early M20 325e single-mass flywheel with position sender pin, includes bolts. Needs resurfaced, $150
Getrag S5G (250) 5-speed gearbox from a '97 Z3, fits the M42 cars, much shorter ratios, only 117K miles, I have no idea if it's good, but it'll bolt right onto this motor. $100/complete.
