WTB *New* left rear tail light holder - part # 63211385383

Looking for the new left rear tail light holder, part # 63211385383.

This is the updated black version (not the old grey one--which I have already).

If anyone has one, please let me know...

how has it been updated other than the color and the knob? Is it functionally better?

I dont think so, although the new knob does seem to secure nicely. BUT--I replaced my broken right one, and it's black. And now my trunk doesn't match :)

I could... I'd much prefer to be super lazy and just order a new one for $30 though lol

Got you, I went through the same situation but my car is Japanese version with rear fog lights, which the bulb holders are different, couldn't find anything.

Getting so hard to find these parts! Is yours right hand drive? It should be the same model as the ones in the UK then. Can't find anything new, but ebay UK has some used ones.

and Schwinderman has some used ones:
                  Covering cab taillight right - 63211386092, 63 21 1 386 092, 1386092, B63211386092 - Fits on models: E30

                  Covering cab taillight left - 63211386091, 63 21 1 386 091, 1386091, B63211386091 - Fits on models: E30

My car is left hand drive, it's very simple to restore them, to get rid of the scratches lightly sandblast them and paint them.

I think I can help here, I have a stash of old rear lights - lenses and back covers I have 5 different styles, three for early/cabriolet and two for late (facelift) cars. Sounds like you want facelift, in black, I will look into it...

Pictures - the REALOEM picture is wonky, it shows an early bulb carrier (back cover) and a late lens; they don't match. Bless them for trying, tho.

The Schmiedemann pictures show two different styles - the RIGHT has 'bars' that are exposed, and routed around to the various sockets. The LEFT has a plate that covers all the voltage-carrying metal bits, they are functionally equivalent but --- US cars are missing parts that power the 5th socket for a 'rear fog' light.

If you can find one that has power to all 5 sockets (6 pins), BUY IT! If not, maybe I can salvage a pin to power the bulb, and transfer it to a set for you.

All this is moot if your problem has been solved, of course.
