i think the purpose of this thread is that he wants a good used top that he doesn't have to go to the upholster to install
Indeed. I actually have 2 frames. One has a bad top, one has a good top. The bad top frame is the original for the car. The good top frame I bought off of a supposed same year car, but it doesn't fit. The arms that run along the top of the covertible top cover, are bent where the old top is straight. The frame then presses into the boot cover where the bends are and keeps it from sealing in the back. I tried playing with the shims, but I don't think that's the issue. The bends in the frame look factory, and are equal on both sides, so I don't see how it could be the result of damage, so I have no idea.
