WTB: e30 Recaro seats

I believe these are it. According to the seller they were installed in his BMW 02', so you'll have to swap the E30 rails back. He says he bought them 10 yrs ago.

no sorry, i have 2 sets of e21 recaros, that are both nice sets and i have all the peices for the same seat that came out of an e30, but i thought it was just a reg e21 recaro that bmw put in early e30's but not the same seat your looking for. but now you have me thinking.

the seats i have are in pieces and the center foam is missing from the top, and the rails are rusty, and i dont know what i have as far as the reclining bits...

a mess i know but they were for parts for my other recaros. ill have to look at them tho and see if they are what you described above. If they are, your welcome to the pieces basically for shipping and maybe just a little more

as far as the e30 vs e21 recaro debate. E30 recaros are a bit different and have the larger bolsters. They also have a different slider system with a black plastic shroud aroudn them similar to the base of a normal e30 sport seat. The easiest way to tell its a real e30 recaro seat is to look at the area where the seat folds forward. If there is a knob there its an e21 or after market recaro. If there is a round black plastic cover over the hinge with "BMW" molded into the upper portion and a leaver to recline the seat a la e30 sport seats its an e30 recaro.... pics

justinbmw... on bf.c has a set of the seats levent just posted in the same color for sale for something around $300 i think, but he wont ship for some reason, wont ship anything for any price... i dont know if he is lazy or stupid...

actually i just looked at your local and hee is also in newyork i believe.

great seat choice and i hope you find the ones you want. if justins were black and not tan i would have been all over them. I love my e21 recaros tho, but cloth would be really nice

edit: just went and looked up the thread, both threads are locked... and he wants 1k and i dont believe they are e30 recaros but they are beautiful recaros regardless

Very hard to find in decent shape, I have these in my Touring and cloth to have the driver´s side recovered. Have been searching for a replacement seat for a loooong time with no luck. But the passenger side is like new and it is simply one of the best seats you can find, comfortable and yet very tight and very supporting.

Yup Im lookin for those. I actually owned a set in Germany at a very well knows upholstery shop over there. found them via ebay.de. The guy was supposed to recover them and send them to me. I guess he liked them too much cuz he stopped answering me back...
