    WTB: Heater core & valve

    I'm not sure which of the two is leaking, I will determine that tomorrow as long as the garage isn't flooded from this damn nor'easter. but I'm looking for a heater core & valve, this type;

    EDIT

    this is the style I'm looking for:

    i'd like the the pieces that go from the heater core to the firewall as well, and the hoses if possible. also need that tiny ducting piece right there

    thanks!

        It's most likely the valve. I just did mine the other day. Make sure you get new O rings #12

                    Considering the trouble you go through to replace one of these and how inexpensive they are new I would suggest picking up a heater core from BMA. Most parts cars are high mileage and their heater cores are on the brink of failure.

                    Just my 2 cents.

                        Def. buy new parts for the heater cores stuff.

                        Back in april this year, mine critically failed, and gave me 1st and 2nd degree burns on my right foot and about half my shin. Very unfun experience.

                        There's also a recall out for those heater cores, you might look into that as an alternative.

                          damnit. went to do it today (i have two spare heater cores in my warehouse) and they're both the wrong one.

                          anyone have one for me?

                            Before you panic; in most cases the heater core never goes on these cars. It is usually the heater tap or the o-rings connecting the two. Before you do anything just take the console away and have a peak up there. If you see dried coolant around the heater tap then it is leaking. If not, they it is your o-rings and they will cost you about 5 bucks at most for both..lol.

                            There was a recall on the heater tap at some point back in the day.
