    Donation for Right Hand Driver Center Console - For Product Creation

    Long shot but thought I'd post it and give it a try.

    Looking for the front center console from a right hand drive e30

    Need the pocket area intact the rest of it can be cut off to make it easier to ship.

    Reason I need it is to make a cup holder insert for right hand cars.

    Since I make it for LHD a few RHD owners have emailed me on ebay to see if I can make it for them.

    For your trouble you will receive a cup holder for either a LHD or RHD.

    Would need to be shipped to California.

    For reference here is a picture of the cup holder I sell on ebay

      Hey Clyne,

      You might want to post this on one of the Australian E30 sites. Maybe offer to send the guy the first finished holder in trade. Those RHD cars are so rare here.

              I don't think that the 25 oz. Foster's can will fit in those cup holders.

                  I have someone from the UK willing to ship me one but the price is a little steep for the part. Probably going to pay them to send it cut up with just the pocket portion. Once I sell a RHD cup holder it will pay for the initial cost of the console.

                  But... if anyone is still game to send me one in trade for a cup holder send me an email.

                      Forgive me if there's a reason this cant be done, but couldnt you just mirror/reverse the product you have already?

                              I can't mirror the LHD is because I use the center console as a jig to assemble the frame and to test fit the finished cup holder. Without actually having the RHD console to assemble it I'd be guessing on whether I have the angles correct.

                              If you look at pictures or talk to buyers of the current version cup holders they'll tell you that these fit in there snug.

                              So if anything is off when I try to make a RHD one without the actual console to fit it they may not fit correctly then I'd have a bunch of RHD buyers with useless cup holders they paid for and can't use.

                              I guess I could measure out all the angles and convert them to the flip the dimensions to make RHD version but then that would take more time then its worth for me to make these.

                              I'm in no way going to become a millionaire making cup holders for a 20+ year old car that is no longer in production so I'm not trying to over think the whole design process.

                              If no one with a RHD is willing to send a piece of foam in the mail then there probably isn't really a demand for the cup holder in the first place.

                              All I need is the center console area the two long flaps behind it can be cut off and from about mid way across the shifter can be cut off.
                              That way it could be shipped in a fairly small box and the console being foam it wouldn't even cost that much for someone to ship to me.

                              I'm not to worried about it anyways since it's not like I have a RHD e30. The reason I started making them in the first place was because I needed one for my car and was tired of waiting for the supposed patent pending, mass produced version folks were saying they were going to make but I've yet to see.

                                          Ok I'm getting back into making these again and would like to make one for the RHD folks. So looking for a RHD center console to use as a jig. Donate a console and you get the first RHD cup holder made in trade.
